PIGS TO SLAUGHTER

Grimdark Fairytales #Book 2

"Time to make you bleed… to make you squeal for what you’ve done."

Kasten "The Wolf" Dresler, a foreman in the Baron's factories, is one of many unfortunate souls trapped in the coils of hard labour. The Baron's three sons - Glutto, Lusto and Envo - oversee the factory's day-to-day runnings, and make regular displays of their wealth and power to the detriment of the workers. It's a harsh reality they face, and one Kasten has chosen to ignore - until one of his closest friends is beaten to death in the night, and he decides that trotting the line is no longer in his interest.

So, donning a cloak and dagger from a time he long hoped to forget, Kasten gathers his supplies and prepares to enter the sons' compound: a vast estate of three massive homes. One of wood, one of stone, and one of bronze.

Because, under the cover of night, he shall enact his revenge for their actions and sins. Because when the workers rise up, and the wolf come knocking, the pigs will be made to squeal...

It was feeding time on the factory floor, and like rats, the workers swarmed…”

This book was a blast to work on, and was completed in just over six weeks: Kasten’s story was fun and was very flexible to write, allowing lots of creativity, particularly towards the Baron’s Sons. This was the first story that I’ve written that concerns social class struggles as well, which offered unique viewpoints that I will definitely be adopting in future books.
